General Rules:
- Every archer should sign in at the static range. An archer will need to do so only once for the entire event.
- Only authorized archers can compete in official scores and competitions. Individuals may be authorized during practice times, with the approval of an authorizing marshal.
- All Youth archers must have a parent or guardian present in order to shoot. In special cases, this may be waived at the discretion of the MIC.
- All archers (youth and adult) must follow the rules of the range below.
All Ranges:
- Each archer is responsible for making sure your equipment is safe (bows and arrows). If you're not sure what is safe, ask.
- Identify the line marshal. Follow all directions given by the marshal and do not nock or loose an arrow until instructed to do so.
- Only nock one arrow at a time. Only nock when on the Line.
- When an arrow is nocked, it must be pointed down range - A nocked arrow is equivalent to a loaded gun.
- Do not cross shoot - Aim at the target in front of you.
- When not shooting, stay at least 6 feet behind the line.
- Do not step in front of the line to retrieve a fallen arrow.
- If a hold is called on the line, stop and un-nock the arrow.
- If any archer notices a safety concern, they can call hold. This includes items like an animal or person down range. Only the marshal can reopen the range.
- Retrieve your arrows only when range is closed and you are so instructed to do by the marshal.
Available Ranges: There will be three ranges located along the Southwest side of the Outlandish site.
- The Northern/Static Range will be directly accross the street from the Archer's camp.
The Archer's camp will be a place to find out information if a marshal isn't present
or visable on the range.
- The Roving Range will South of the Static Range.
- The Royal Range will be at the bottom of the hill, south of the Roving Range.
This is where the Royal Archer Tourney will be held on Sunday morning.
